Problem Discription: In recent times, many snack companies are including small plastic toys inside packets of chips, chocolates, and other snacks to attract children. These toys are colorful and eye-catching, and small kids often get excited to open such packets. However, this marketing strategy is putting young children’s lives at risk. Due to their small size and attractive look, these toys are often mistaken by toddlers and small children as food items. In many homes, especially where both parents are working or where supervision is less, children eat snacks on their own. In such situations, there is a high chance that a child may swallow the toy accidentally. This can lead to choking, breathing problems, or even death if not treated in time. There have already been several cases reported in different parts of the country where children suffered serious health issues due to this reason. Most parents are not aware of this danger, and companies do not give proper warnings on the packet. There is an urgent need for awareness among parents, and strict action should be taken by authorities to stop companies from adding such toys inside food packets. Toys, if provided, should be big enough and packed separately with clear warnings. This issue is seen in many places towns, cities, and even rural areas and happens frequently as these snack packets are easily available in local shops. Spreading awareness through schools, social media, and public campaigns can help prevent such life-threatening incidents. Isn’t it our responsibility to protect children from such hidden dangers in everyday items?
