🧠 Problem Title: Plastic: An Ultimate Threat to Living Organisms and Environment.
📝 Problem Description

In our day to day life, we use different types of materials for different purposes. Plastic material is the one which is limitlessly used in our daily life for many purposes. We use plastic containers for storing food, plastic covers to carry things and we use plastic in many other forms. Plastic is being used globally without having a limit. Despite being plastic used limitlessly, we have so many terrible effects on the environment and our health. Effects of Plastic on Environment: Plastic is effecting the environment in so many ways such as water pollution and soil pollution. The fact that we didnt notice while using plastic is the decomposition part of plastic. Plastic didnt decompose naturally like other materials such as paper, etc. It takes hundreds of years to be decomposed naturally. When it is decomposed artificially in factories, highly concentrated harmful chemicals such as methane and carbon monoxides etc forms and exist in the state of liquids and gases. These harmful chemicals are released into air which causes a air pollution. As this pollution is caused by harmful chemicals, this acts as a Slow Poision to the living organisms around it. These chemicals are also released into rivers and lakes. An example for this incident is the recent Yamuna river incident near Delhi. This highly concentrated harmful chemicals sweeps out the lives of the organisms living in those water bodies without leaving a trace. Recent studies proved that a plastic cover left in soil to decompose releases 7grams of poison. If it is in a crop land or in fertile land, the plants in it will die easily leading to food shortage and famines. We have so many health effects by using plastic. While we travel to other places we use plastic water bottles. These bottles release microplastics into the water and cause harmful diseases like cancer, leukemia and cardio related problems. It also effects our respiratory system. So, I identified plastic as a global threat to living organisms.
