Level crossing delays are a subset of India’s transportation challenges, tied to inadequate infrastructure and heavy reliance on railways. According to Indian Railways, there are over 20,000 level crossings in India, with many still manually operated, causing daily disruptions., overtake or squeeze into gaps, as it worsens traffic jams when the gate opens. Honking unnecessarily, as it adds to noise pollution and stress for others. My small suggestion is arrange timer and announcement at busy level crossing so as to enable them to choose alternative routes and the will do other activities nearby. For example there is a display of 15 or 20 minutes,then people think and relax., They need not to start their vehicles engines unnecessarily.
