Everyday we children are going to school regularly. Schools in India have timings from 8 am to 5 pm. Our schools have long duration which makes children tired after the long day. Schools start early in the morning which gives children insufficient sleep resulting inactive performance in school early in the morning. Putting these to a side homework became a huge load to the children nowadays. Despite the work done in the long duration of school hours, schools not allowing children to spend time with their families with homework. Nowadays more and more homeworks are given by corporate schools. These schools are putting extra load on students for achieving ranks in their institutions. Even small classes are also giving heavy homeworks. LKG students have 5 to 6 homeworks a day which i have observed in my neighborhood. Due to heavy homeworks from a small age their hands are losing ability to write neat handwriting which was observed in my case. As being a high school student, I an say that For high school students there are more homeworks than concepts learned in school. These homeworks are taking more time to complete leaving no time remaining after school hours. The stress of long school hours and heavy homework effecting both mental and physical health of a student at young age. Students are not able to learn any other skills at schools or at home hours other than academics. Students are not getting time to play outside because of homeworks which effecting their physical health worser. Finally I identified heavy homeworks in school as a problem.
