Urban road grids in India are designed without factoring in the solar path. During sunrise and sunset, drivers and traffic police at hundreds of major intersections are completely blinded by direct sunlight, rendering traffic signals and oncoming vehicles invisible. This creates a high-risk "Glare Zone" twice daily, during peak commuting hours. Unlike weather-related visibility issues, this is a predictable, recurring design flaw that causes avoidable accidents and is currently excluded from all road safety audits.
