In millions of Indian kitchens, low-cost aluminum is the primary cookware. Over years of daily scrubbing with steel wool and cooking acidic foods (like tomatoes or tamarind), microscopic particles of aluminum are chemically leached and physically abraded into every meal. While normalized through generations, chronic ingestion of this neurotoxic metal is linked to long-term cognitive decline and neurological disorders. There is currently no public awareness, labeling standard, or incentive to transition from this invisible, slow-acting poisoning.
