Introducing a health awareness subject from 8th standard in the school curriculum can help students think, become aware, and prevent such problems., It is surprising to see that many people in our locality are not even aware of the availability of vaccines for diseases like chicken pox (Varicella). Hence, AWARENESS IS THE KEY, and it is our responsibility to spread it. What else can be a better medium than the education curriculum?, Two months ago, ten students in our school were affected by chicken pox. They missed 11 valuable days of school, including examinations. Their families were also affected, as it is a communicable disease. This could have been prevented if they had taken the vaccine., Another incident occurred in our school when our Mathematics teacher suddenly fainted. People realized something was wrong with his heart and that CPR should be given. However, no one knew the correct procedure. As a result, he suffered a mild heart stroke before reaching the hospital., Due to a lack of awareness at the RIGHT AGE, opportunities to save lives are turning into life-threatening situations or permanent LIFESTYLE DISEASES. These lifestyle diseases now account for nearly 60%+ of deaths in India.
