In our daily life, we use many products like medicines, food items, and grocery materials. Every product has important details such as manufacturing date, expiry date, and MRP (price) printed on it. But many times, these details are very small, unclear, or difficult to find, especially for elderly people or in low light conditions., This can create serious problems. People may accidentally use expired medicines or food, which can harm their health. Also, some people may pay more than the actual MRP because they cannot clearly see the printed price., To solve this real-time problem, we can design a smart mobile application that can scan products using the phone camera and automatically detect important information like manufacturing date, expiry date, and MRP., The app can use image processing and OCR (Optical Character Recognition) technology to read the text from the product label. After detecting the expiry date, the app compares it with the current date and gives the result in a very simple and user-friendly way., The app shows:, * Green color→ Product is safe to use, * Yellow color→ Product is near expiry, * Red color→ Product is expired, In addition to visual output, the app also can provides voice information, such as:, “Product is safe” or “Warning! Product is expired.”, This helps people who cannot read properly or have vision problems., The app can also alert users with a sound or notification if a product is expired. This makes it very useful in real-time situations like shopping, using medicines, or checking stored food items at home., This project aim to combine AI technology, safety awareness, and accessibility in a simple mobile solution. It is useful for common people, elderly individuals, shopkeepers, and healthcare use., This project idea aims to make everyday life safer, smarter, and more informed.
