The Indian school education system is largely theoretical and does not focus on practical learning. Curricula and school reports mention many hands-on activities, experiments, and skills modules but there are very few actually carried out at schools while leaving many out completely. It trains students to memorize concepts for an exam and not apply the aforementioned knowledge in a problem-solving context. The mismatch between what is promised on paper and what is practiced in classrooms leaves little room for experiential learning, poor skills to solve real-world problems, and below adequate preparedness for higher education or jobs.
