In many urban and rural areas, plastic waste is often disposed of openly along roadsides, near markets, and in garbage dumping areas. It is frequently observed that stray cattle search for food in these waste piles and unintentionally consume plastic materials along with leftover food., Plastic bags and packaging materials are not digestible and may remain inside the animals’ bodies for long periods. Continuous consumption of plastic waste can affect the health and well-being of cattle., I have observed stray cattle feeding from open garbage piles where plastic waste is mixed with food waste. Since the food and plastic are mixed together, the animals may consume harmful materials unknowingly., This problem highlights the connection between improper waste management and animal health. Open dumping of mixed waste not only affects cleanliness but also creates risks for animals and the surrounding environment., Proper waste segregation and disposal practices are important to reduce this issue.
