🧠 Problem Title: Overweight School Bags Cause Spinal and Shoulder Pain in Young Students
📝 Problem Description

Students in Indian schools, from Class 1 onwards, carry all their textbooks, notebooks, lunch boxes, and water bottles every day in a backpack. The combined weight frequently exceeds safe limits recommended by health experts, which is around 10% of a childs body weight. For a child weighing 30 kg, the safe limit is 3 kg, but school bags in India commonly weigh between 5 and 8 kg. Carrying this excess weight daily causes back pain, shoulder strain, poor posture, and long-term spinal problems. The problem is most severe in Classes 5 to 9, where the number of subjects is highest. Students in government schools, who typically have no lockers, carry the heaviest loads since they cannot leave books at school. This is a daily occurrence for crores of students across India and causes real physical harm that accumulates over years. Several government committees including NCERT have noted this issue, yet it remains widespread and unresolved in most schools. The problem affects all school types - government, aided, and private. And is universal across rural and urban areas. While rarely life-threatening directly, severe spinal conditions in childhood can lead to long-term disability. Families spend money on physiotherapy and medical consultations for issues that are preventable.
