In many situations, narrow old roads directly connect with wider modern roads, flyovers, or high-traffic routes. Such mismatched road structures may create congestion, sudden merging points, confusion for drivers, and inefficient traffic movement.
I have observed intersections where roads of different widths, layouts, and traffic capacities meet in an unorganized manner, leading to traffic slowdowns and overcrowding during peak hours. Rapid urban growth without synchronized infrastructure planning may increase pressure on these areas.
This problem highlights the gap between historical road development and modern transportation demands. Better traffic planning and scientifically designed junction systems are important for safer and smoother urban mobility.
