Reverse Osmosis (RO) water purifiers are used globally to filter drinking water. However, a major hidden problem is that for every 1 litre of pure drinking water, these RO systems reject and waste nearly 3 litres of water. This rejected water contains a high concentration of dissolved solids and is directly flushed down the kitchen drains by millions of households daily. In a world facing acute water scarcity, dumping billions of litres of usable freshwater every single day is a massive ecological disaster that goes unnoticed.
