Ceiling fans are among the most widely used household appliances in India. In many homes, fans operate for several hours every day, especially during summer months.
Over time, dust accumulation, loose fittings, blade imbalance, worn bearings, and mechanical aging can cause fans to wobble and produce continuous vibrations and humming noises. Since fans are mounted directly to ceilings, these vibrations may travel through the structure and create unwanted noise inside bedrooms.
Many households continue using such fans because they still function and provide airflow. However, the vibration and noise can reduce comfort, disturb sleep, create annoyance, and affect the quality of rest.
The problem often goes unnoticed because people gradually adapt to the sound and consider it a normal part of daily life.
