For any health issues ,we consult a doctor in his/her clinic or hospital. The doctor examines us and provides treatment and prescription.Sometimes, the doctor suggests that we be admitted to the hospital for treatment. We are available with a bed and stay in the hospital till recovery. This is so simple to listen to but the truth is much scary.Sometimes, life shows us the reality in a much brutal way.
A few days ago, when I visited a relative in the hospital with my family,I experienced something that is in front of everybody but nobody much cares about this problem. I saw some patients lying on the floor in the hospital premises. On further inquiry, I realised that they are lying on the floor because they didn’t get to bed due to unavailability of beds. When I further try to gather more information about this in the internet that it is a problem in my city or across any other place facing the same problem. My mind was blown after I received the result. This problem is not limited to my city or state, it is the problem faced across the whole nation. In some cases, doctors are performing surgeries with patients lying on the floor in the Government hospitals. In some hospitals, higher amounts are charged for a bed which becomes difficult for them to afford. This problem gets worse when we face situations like pandemic,Covid-19 and other emergency situations. Some experts blame the government highlighting significant gaps in healthcare infrastructure and patient care on the occurrence of such incidents like severe overcrowding, bed shortages and limitations on available resources. But do you think blaming on government can be a solution?
