Open dumping of household waste, plastic, construction debris, and mixed garbage remains a serious issue in many localities. Vacant plots, road corners, and drainage edges often turn into unofficial dumping points because waste collection is irregular or segregation systems are weak. Such sites attract flies, rats, stray animals, and foul smell, making the surrounding area unhealthy and unpleasant. During rain, waste can wash into drains and worsen waterlogging. Burning of mixed waste adds air pollution and health risk. This problem affects the dignity and cleanliness of a neighbourhood and often continues for years without a permanent solution.
