LPG delivery personnel manually unload 30kg metal gas cylinders from transport trucks to the ground multiple times a day. To work quickly, they slide the heavy cylinders to the edge and let them drop vertically onto the asphalt, or drop them directly onto their shoulders. This causes severe chronic spinal compression, lower back injuries, and sudden foot fractures if a cylinder slips. Students can engineer simple, gravity-assisted, mechanical deceleration ramps or dampening catchers that safely lower cylinders without human strain.
