🧠 Problem Title: Crop Damage and Economic Losses Caused by Animal and Pest Intrusions
📝 Problem Description

Crop protection is a major challenge for farmers. Birds, monkeys, wild boars, deer, locusts, and other pests frequently invade agricultural fields and damage crops, leading to reduced yields and financial losses. Small and marginal farmers are especially affected because their income depends heavily on successful harvests. Traditional protection methods such as scarecrows, manual guarding, fencing, loud noises, and chemical repellents are often ineffective, costly, labor-intensive, or environmentally harmful. Many animals and birds quickly adapt to these methods, making them less useful over time.
Night-time intrusions make the situation worse, as farmers must constantly monitor their fields, resulting in loss of sleep, increased labor, and additional expenses. The excessive use of pesticides and chemical repellents can also harm soil fertility, contaminate water sources, and affect beneficial organisms. Furthermore, deforestation, habitat loss, and climate change are forcing wildlife closer to agricultural areas, increasing the frequency of crop damage.
Many modern crop protection technologies are expensive and require continuous electricity, making them inaccessible to farmers in rural and remote areas. In addition, most existing systems operate continuously or on fixed schedules, wasting energy and failing to respond effectively to real-time threats. Farmers often experience anxiety and stress due to uncertainty about the safety of their crops, especially during harvesting seasons when even a small loss can significantly impact their annual income.
The growing challenge of animal and pest intrusions not only affects farmers but also threatens food security and agricultural sustainability. Without reliable, affordable, and environmentally friendly protection methods, crop losses continue to increase. This creates an urgent need to address the problem and improve farm security while minimizing environmental impact and reducing the burden of farmers.
