India grows a lot of vegetables and is one of the biggest vegetable-producing countries in the world. But sadly, a big part of the harvested vegetables get wasted because there are not enough proper storage places, especially in villages where cold storage is either not available or too costly. Farmers and vegetable sellers lose a lot of money because their vegetables become bad within just a few days.To solve this problem, we thought of a simple idea and we are proposing the EcoCool Vegetable Storage Box, which is a cheap and nature-friendly storage box that uses honeycomb cooling pads and water. It works on the idea of evaporative cooling, which means it cools things using water evaporation, and does not need a fridge or electricity all the time. This solution keeps the temperature low and moisture high inside the box, so vegetables stay fresh for a longer time.
We believe this idea can really help farmers, vegetable sellers, and small shop owners to reduce wastage, earn more money, and also help the environment.
