Schools, colleges, offices, and organizations frequently organize campaigns to promote environmental protection, tree conservation, and sustainability.
However, many of these campaigns rely heavily on paper posters, banners, pamphlets, chart papers, certificates, and disposable decorative materials. After the event ends, a large portion of these materials is discarded.
As a result, activities intended to protect the environment may unintentionally contribute to resource consumption and waste generation.
The problem highlights the gap between environmental messaging and environmentally sustainable practices.I observed that during environmental awareness programs such as Save Trees, Save Earth, and Pollution Awareness campaigns, large numbers of paper posters and printed materials are created. After the event, many of these materials are thrown away, creating waste despite being used to promote environmental protection.
