Cancer affects not only physical health but also emotional and psychological well-being. Studies have reported that a substantial proportion of cancer patients experience anxiety, depression, loneliness, fear, or emotional distress during treatment. Long treatment periods, frequent hospital visits, uncertainty about recovery, financial pressures, and changes in appearance can contribute to feelings of isolation. While healthcare systems primarily focus on medical treatment and disease management, emotional challenges may receive less attention. As a result, many patients struggle silently despite receiving adequate physical care. This overlooked aspect of cancer care can significantly affect quality of life, treatment adherence, and overall well-being.
