🧠 Problem Title: Impact of Pregnancy Myths and Lack of Awareness on Maternal and Child Health
📝 Problem Description

Pregnancy is an important stage in a womans life that requires proper care, nutrition, and medical guidance. However, in many communities, pregnant women are often influenced by myths, superstitions, and unverified beliefs passed down through generations. Some people believe that a babys gender can be predicted by the mothers appearance, the babys heart rate, or certain food preferences. Others may follow restrictions on food, activities, or healthcare practices without scientific evidence.
While many traditions are harmless and provide emotional support, some misconceptions can lead to poor decision-making. Pregnant women may avoid nutritious foods, ignore medical advice, delay health checkups, or experience unnecessary stress due to misinformation. Lack of awareness makes it difficult for families to distinguish between cultural practices and scientifically proven healthcare recommendations.
This problem is often overlooked because these beliefs are deeply rooted in society and are considered normal. However, continued dependence on inaccurate information can affect the health and well-being of both the mother and the baby. Therefore, there is a need to improve awareness, promote evidence-based pregnancy care, and help families make informed decisions while respecting cultural values.
The goal is not to oppose traditions but to ensure that pregnant women receive accurate knowledge and proper healthcare for a safe and healthy pregnancy.
