Dr. Ranga has an MBA and PhD in Information Systems and was a Takemi Fellow in Harvard School of Public Health, Boston, USA
from 1999-2000 and the second time in 2021-22.
Dr. Ranga started his career in Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI), Hyderabad.
He worked for a decade in Public Health Systems in Africa and Asia including Afghanistan.
Dr. Ranga got motivated to work with solar power, founded organisations, designed, developed, and mass-produced various portable
and ultra-portable lights for children, mothers, homes, and streets of rural areas across the world.
Dr. Ranga's present interest and projects are developing solar-powered pest trap for organic agriculture, indoor LED
lights for polyhouses and electronic mosquito Jammer that disables mosquitos (his second Takemi program project).
Dr. Ranga works in Gharda Foundation, Mumbai as Chief Mentor. He is the CEO of Hoshang Patel Tech Centre, Lavel. He hails from an
agricultural family of a remote village in India. He is interested in simple technologies that make the life of women and children better, safe, and productive.
